It’s split into five “episodes” that are loosely connected. The town is called Flinkwater in Iowa. There is a shout out to Omaha, NE. This book has a lot of potty humor which is fine…but great for middle readers.

I wanted it to keep going! Luckily, there’s a sequel. In the book,4 girls are put into the same cabin for summer camp. They’re nothing alike. But their counselor, Hannah, finds an activity they all like. On the last night of camp, the girls make a plan to keep in touch. Over the summer, they became great friends. Why lose each other?

Maar misschien kwam dat ook wel omdat ik de tv-serie eerst had gezien.

This book is a wonderful and terrible and wonderful read. The lives of so many were changed because of the Kindertransport, and the events leading up to the Second World War. This book showed the lives of two German – Jewish girls who had to survive during this time. I have a lot of feelings pertaining to this book, but all I want to say is to read it.

This is a very powerful book with an important story that needs to be shared with young people. More than any other book I’ve ever read on the civil rights movement, this book pulled me right into the world of African American sharecroppers living in Mississippi in 1955. Told from the point of view of thirteen-year-old Rose Lee Carter, who lives with her grandparents, her younger brother, and her cousin in a sm

I’m sure there were many other such squeals at other houses when this book came out last week. I know that our kids (okay, and me too!) have been waiting for this book to come out ever since it was announced that Brandon Mull would be writing a sequel series to his beloved Fablehaven series. I will admit that I can’t wait to introduce our little guy to these books in a few ye
