I listened to this book on CD in the car.Issue 1 — Narrator. I’ve listened to 2 Spenser books narrated by Joe Mantegna and I absolutely love Joe as Spenser. Small Vices was read by Burt Reynolds. Burt has a beautiful, deep, rich, smooth voice…but he’s not Joe and therefore not Spencer. And it seems that his deep melted chocolate range is where I have hearing loss. There were parts that sounded like a bass melody with no words. When his voice…

Author:Neal Stephenson, Pedro Jorge Romero First Book Publish:2004 Books in series: 3 Avg. Criptonomicón III: El código Aretusa (Criptonomicón Book 2) First published: March 31st 2004Rating: 8.16 stars GoodReads:Criptonomicón III: El código…

Author:Charles Willeford, James Lee Burke, Lawrence Block, Donald E. Westlake, Elmore Leonard First Book Publish:2004 Books in series: 4 Avg. Book Rating:8 Characters: New Hope for the Dead (Hoke Moseley Book 1) First published: August 9th 2004Rating: 7.96 stars GoodReads:New Hope for the Dead Review: I like Hoke Moseley and all … but this follow up to Miami Blues was dull. It was a like a very odd episode of Father Knows Best. Hardly anything happens except for conversations with Hoke’s coworkers, Hoke searching for a place to live, and a weak-ass mystery. There were some funny quotes and conversations that saved this from a one star review. The biggest difference between this installment and Miami Blues was the back and forth plots of Hoke and the main criminal character. I must say I preferred the dual narratives of the first book. Maybe that was because Junior was such a great villain. I hope the series picks up. Sideswipe: A Hoke Moseley Novel (Hoke Moseley Book 2) First published: March 7th 2005Rating: 8.18 stars GoodReads:Sideswipe: A Hoke Moseley Novel Review: The Hoke Moseley novels are about a detective, but they are not novels in the detective genre. Charles Willeford never dangles…

Author:Elaine Cunningham First Book Publish:2005 Books in series: 2 Avg. Book Rating:7.2 Characters: Shadows in the Starlight (Changeling Detective Book 1) First published: January 23rd 2006Rating: 7.26 stars GoodReads:Shadows in the Starlight Review: This book was great! Everyone was so wickedly deceitful. You never knew who was going to kill who…. and there was a lot of killin’ going on. Gwen is a smartass with a “don’t fuck with me” attitude that I love. There is no romance in this book. Gwen sleeps with a few friends when she feels the need to, but otherwise her love life is non-existent. Normally that would turn me off from a book, but there was so much going on that I didn’t mind her lacking a relationship. I am disappointed that Cunningham didn’t continue this series. Shadows in the Darkness (Changeling Detective Book 2) First published: December 26th 2005Rating: 7.08 stars GoodReads:Shadows in the Darkness Review: Elves. Why did it have to be elves? This first book in a threatened series is a decent enough mystery with a hard-core ex-cop detective with a past shrouded in mystery even to herself. Although it contains the now-obligatory sex play (thanks LKH), they are mostly interrupted scenes…

Dexter – read online free book series.
Movie Adaptation / 27.05.2016

“Darkly Dreaming Dexter” is the first book about Dexter. It introduces us with a charming employee of police laboratory. He is attractive, sociable, friendly… in appearance. As it turns out, he has learnt to pretend to be “a normal man” and behave himself right in society. What secret he is hiding? Our charming hero is a serial murderer with a unique pattern. He kills “bad guys” who avoided punishment for their crimes.   Dexter is not like all the others — he doesn’t have feelings all ordinary people possess, but he has a passion for murders. This is not his fault,as it is a result of a psychological trauma he experienced in the childhood. His stepfather, a police officer, noticed this in time and directed all illegal desires of Morgan Dexter for a good cause — to destruct all maniacs and abusers. All this forces us — the readers — to love Dexter despite his apparently wrong acts.   All fans of this genre will be happy to read these series. Here you can find nice heroes, and interesting plots. The first-person narration allows us to understand his character and motives.   The plot of TV series coincides with books…
