Book Rating:8.2 Characters: Truth Stained Lies (Moonlighters Book 1) First published: March 11th 2013Rating: 8.18 stars GoodReads:Truth Stained Lies Review: This is a well-written mystery about brothers and sisters who come together to find out who killed their sister-in-law. They need to clear their brother’s name and reunite him with a 5-year-old son he has lost in a custody battle. The stakes are high and the resolution is satisfying. It’s a great mystery in its own right, but I especially like it because it deals with forgiveness and serving others. It has a strong Christian message without being preachy.

Book Rating:5.5 Characters: Silent Words (Tyler Jones Book 1) First published: August 31st 1996Rating: 5.54 stars GoodReads:Silent Words Review: I love the author’s store – Drury Lane in Grand Marias, MN – and I have never read a “lesbian mystery”. I quite enjoyed it. It has an entertaining disconnect between the mystery genre and it’s cast of laconic MN north shore denizens.

Book Rating:6.5 Characters: Finding Infinity (Finding Infinity Book 1) First published: July 4th 2012Rating: 6.5 stars GoodReads:Finding Infinity Review: The story had so much potential, but the characters were one dimensional and so many plot elements were sadly underdeveloped. Not sure I want to read anything else by this author.

Rather boring and formulaic and written for someone on a middle school reading level. And the editing/grammar were also not up to par. I was bored and not that interested in reading further in the series, especially when book two looked to be a rehash of the same plot only with different characters. Why is this even on the market?

Well written mysteries set in Cornwall. Descriptions delightful and characters as well, other than the villain of course. I will continue reading the series.

Holidays From Hell Short Story – read online free book series
Popular Series / 31.10.2017

Author: First Book Publish:2011 Books in series: 2 Avg. Book Rating:8.3 Characters: The Rabbit Died (Holidays From Hell Short Story Book 1) First published: June 21st 2011Rating: 8.18 stars GoodReads:The Rabbit Died Review: A great short story that is very well written, hilarious at times and then pulling at your heart strings. Zelda could do without the holiday gatherings under the best of circumstances. Her two sisters and their families were a little much and didn’t always contribute to a congenial family gathering. Plus her mother is using/abusing medicinal marijuana, it’s all relative, right? And her father has left her mother for another woman. So, all in all, everything that’s needed for a Holiday from Hell. Pull My Paw (Holidays From Hell Short Story Book 2) First published: July 30th 2011Rating: 8.54 stars GoodReads:Pull My Paw Review: Sue Ann Jaffarian is such an amazing author! This short story series is as good as her full-length novel series.

The Midwinter Mysteries Of Sherlock Holmes – read online free book series

Author: First Book Publish:2014 Books in series: 1 Avg. Book Rating:7.8 Characters: The Adventure of the Manufactured Miracle (The Midwinter Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes Book 1) (The Midwinter Mysteries Of Sherlock Holmes Book 1) First published: January 9th 2014Rating: 7.78 stars GoodReads:The Adventure of the Manufactured Miracle (The Midwinter Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes Book 1) Review: A quick read … which, being a short story, is understandable. I’m always hesitant when it comes to reading Sherlock stories written by anyone but Sir Arthur, but was pleased with this. There are footnotes scattered throughout giving background information to previous cases and characters (in case the reader wasn’t aware) and it all worked out rather smashingly. It’s 4 stars instead of 5 because, frankly, I needed it to be more than a short story. I do have the next two lined up to read, though
