I thought Dan’s shift from the nothing’s-gonna-happen-between-us to the I-can’t-live-without-you was rather sudden, even though we had some insight on his thoughts from the beggining and knew that he was fighting his attraction to Ava all along. I just felt that there was no explanation as to why his baheviour towards Ava changed in a blink. And I also have to say that Dan’s lov Rescued in a Wedding Dress (International Grooms Book 2) First published: January 31st 2010Rating: 6.26 stars GoodReads:Rescued in a Wedding Dress Review: Molly Michaels has been working very hard to change and not be a doormat anymore.

I fell into this book and basically read it on about one sitting I couldn’t put it down. Colorado Christmas (The O’malley Men Book 2) First published: October 31st 2009Rating: 8.04 stars GoodReads:Colorado Christmas Review: I really loved this book. All the characters were great. Will was a hero you loved. There was humor, parts made you cry, but you ended the book with a smile on your face. Colorado Fireman (The O’malley Men Book 3) First published: March 5th 2012Rating: 7.96 stars GoodReads:Colorado Fireman Review: Loved this book! Adam is a hero that every woman dreams of, except for his tendency to push others away. Carly, however, has Adam figured out from the moment she met him. She doesn’t stand for any of his grumpiness, and she works herself into Adam’s heart in no time. I loved the part where he proposes marriage to her so her kids will…

Author: First Book Publish:2015 Books in series: 1 Avg. Book Rating:6.7 Characters: Take a Girl Like You (Patrick Standish And Jenny Bunn Book 1) First published: April 27th 2015Rating: 6.66 stars GoodReads:Take a Girl Like You Review: Best read with a gin and tonic. Funny, pleasantly dated, like an odd little time capsule. Most of the men are pretty unlikeable, though at times it’s hard to tell if the writer sees them as completely unlikeable? But I’m choosing to not psychoanalyze Kingsley Amis’s attitudes toward women, partly by pretending the very end happened differently, because to me the end was really depressing but in a way that maybe wasn’t meant to be depressing, which is, perhaps, even more depressing?

Book Rating:7.1 Characters: , Alex Valente, Olivia Cannington Valente’s Baby (The Valente Series Book 1) First published: May 31st 2009Rating: 7.08 stars GoodReads:Valente’s Baby Review: Perfect ending to the Valente brothers series. A beautiful romance story. It started with Matt being so harsh and cruel, but he was such a loving hands-on father. I like that Lana was strong, intelligent and independent. Megan was adorable. Cesare finally had everything he had always wanted for his family even if he did things in such unconventional and manipulative ways. The CEO Takes a Wife (The Valente Series Book 2) First published: June 30th 2008Rating: 7.34 stars GoodReads:The CEO Takes a Wife Review: He must marry or lose control of his empire. But no ordinary wife would do for Australian tycoon Alex Valente. Emotional entanglements were to be avoided; physical attraction was essential. Struggling designer Olivia Cannington certainly fit both of his requirements… most especially the latter. And she was in such desperate need of his funds, perhaps the beauty would even agree to the second part of his marriage ultimatum: give Valente an heir…within a year.

Book Rating:7.2 Characters: Alexander Cleave, Lydia Cleave, Quirke, Lily (Eclipse), Eclipse (The Cleave Trilogy Book 1) First published: February 4th 2002Rating: 7.34 stars GoodReads:Eclipse Review: I laughed when I read one review that called this book a word pile collapsing into a jumble. Banville is one of those writers whose words are gorgeous (Life is everywhere, even in the stones, slow, secret, long enduring), but there’s a niggling joker on your shoulder groaning and snorting over the meandering, apparently directionless journey those words take you on. Oh, god, the Irish, it says, what masters of misery! all pallid, jiggling flesh and backed up drains. That, of course, is part of Banville’s, shall I say, charm? He renders a state of mind that is, finally, mesmerizing. You sink with his characters into the texture of their vivid gloom. Everything is highlighted, every odd memory inserted into a queer semblance of a plot. I read this after Ancient Light (which has more get up and go than Eclipse) and am beginning to think Banville is writing about writing – poor old Alex Cleave locked up there in his room sorting through a…
