I remember having this book read to me when I was six or so. The story of Pip and his mysterious benefactor. It is just some seriously good storytellingReally enjoyed it despite knowing the majority of the story beforehand. It was one of the easier Dickens’ I’ve attempted before and the characters were all so interesting. Frankenstein (Top Five Classics Book 2) First published: December 28th 1995Rating: 7.48 stars GoodReads:Frankenstein Review: Frankenstein’s monster did not have green skin, a flat topped skull, or bolts in his neck. If you are looking for that version, you will not find it in this incredible story. Treasure Island…

Told in third person but from Tuyet’s perspective, this has emotional resonance without feeling manipulative. Photos are included, which help the reader keep the various people clear in his or her mind. A very important part of our history that is not looked at as often as it should be. I never saw more than the two that were given to me, but they left me with some strong impressions: a wish for a children’s desk with a secret hiding spot, a desire to own very valuable books, and the instantaneous switch from fear of storms to loving them–brought on by this book in particular.

The question is, can a successful tower defense video game become a decent comic book? I think the answer is yes in this case. Plants vs. Zombies Volume 2: Timepocalypse (Plants Vs. It certainly isn’t only effective in empowering and inspiring children but even adults, too. There are certain lines that I love reading in the last part of the book (I won’t post it — so go ahead and read it)!

I love learning about history, and one of my favorite time periods is the 1600’s through 1800’s. I also really love learning about Native American cultures. I thought this book did a wonderful job showing both the Native American’s and the white’s perspectives and reasoning behin

Book Rating:8.5 Characters: Jacky Ha-Ha (Jacky Ha-ha Book 1) First published: March 20th 2016Rating: 8.54 stars GoodReads:Jacky Ha-Ha Review: This was a surprisingly enjoyable read. Jacky has a stutter so when she says her last name Hart, it can come out Ha ha ha rt. Thus Jacky Ha-Ha. Jacky has embraced her moniker and has become the class clown which gets her in trouble. Jacky isn’t the best behaved 7th grader around but at least she isn’t mean spirited. The story felt believable. I think 10-12 yos would really like it.

Lots of great characters! The illustrations throughout the book are beautiful too. My only criticism is I wish some of those illustrations had been used for the cover. It would’ve created appeal to a broader audience where the current cover doesn’t really give you a true sense of the story. A minor criticism though for an otherwise great book
